Things got moved around this weekend in my house, as they tend to do, leaving most of my original summer hearth display scattered throughout different rooms. This gave me the opportunity to create something new and reminiscent of mid-summer. Items added in include dried moonshine yarrow (from my garden) and dried Queen Anne's Lace (collected on the side of the road), a thrifted picnic basket I got earlier this summer and the trunk. The trunk has recently gotten a couple of coats of DIY chalk paint, but has been in my basement for years after we got it free at a tag sale.
Hi, I'm Angela and I am the creator of the blog Number Fifty-Three. I am super passionate about things like decorating on a budget and repurposing found items. In addition to blogging, I, along with my boyfriend, also paint, refinish and bring vintage and antique pieces back to life for a wide base of clients in the New England and New York state areas. We absolutely love taking an old, discarded piece of furniture and making it new again and it’s such an amazing feeling to know that many of these end up as focal points in our client’s homes. Welcome!
Thank you so much for visiting Number Fifty-Three! Unless otherwise noted, I have taken all the pictures on this blog and have come up with all the decorating ideas and tutorials myself. One of the fantastic things about blogging is that you can reach so many people! I welcome you to share what you love from this blog, but please remember to link back and/or give me credit.
