Since the weather took a dramatic turn from in the 40s on Tuesday to the 70s on Wednesday (yeah!) I thought I would spring-ify my mantel a bit.
I started by placing and old, chipping window a little off center and adding in a leafy plant in a white pottery bowl.
Then, I made this simple, and really I do mean simple, moss garland.
Here's all you need to do: cut circles from cardstock (I used a paper punch) and, using hot glue, attach some moss from the craft store. I attached a length of twine to the upper back portion, along with another cardstock circle (for extra durability) and that was it!

This old lantern was a recent antique store find of mine. I think it's going to be perfect for spring and summer decorating!
I rounded out the vignette with a silver candlestick, more white, a cute, ceramic bird and some antique books. You know I can't get enough of decorating with antique books. Just wait to you see how I used them in my entry! (I'll share soon!)
Enjoy your Thursday!
