Autumn Inspired Decorating

Slowly, over the last week I have been changing up the accessories in my entry, living and dining rooms.

I've put away the aqua pillows and shells and things that has a more summery feel, and have brought in oranges, rusts and yellows to give our space a more cozy, autumn look.

Overall, I still have kept things light and uncluttered. I'm pretty much having major issues with any sort of clutter lately so I have seriously edited my collections and décor.

I have a feeling that these few orange and yellow gourds, dried yellow corn and other little touches will be it for me this year.

Not sure if it is my ever-evolving style or just being so busy with so many things that I want a feeling of uncluttered calm. Or if it's a combo of the two, but this is probably the happiest I've been with my home.

  2. I too have been going through a "no-clutter" phase. We still have way too much and it stresses me out. Maybe it's just nesting, as I have only about 8 more weeks or so till my twins are due to arrive :) I LOVE your collection of brass candlesticks with the orange candles- so warm and festive.

  6. Angela, love that pillow in the entry, it is so pretty. I am so ready for the cool, crisp air to be here. Against most people in the world, I am not a summer fan. I am a fall and winter girl. I do a Happy Dance around now!!! If people read this comment they will say I am insane, LOL!

  7. Sometimes simple is best. I have regretted pulling out seasonal things in the past when I really loved the way the house looked.
