We've had no less than four pieces of furniture in our upstairs hallway in the last six months. Seriously. And, I'm hoping. No. I really think this is the keeper.
It has storage (which we so desperately need). It has clean lines I wanted something old, but sleek). And, it's the right size for the space.
I usually don't gravitate towards pieces that have already been painted or that have significant cosmetic damage, but there were some circumstances that led me to this sideboard and I'm so happy they did. (Here's a before pic.)
After some veneer repair because of (I'm guessing) water damage. I painted it with General Finishes Coastal Blue. Yup. I definitely think I'm going to add in more navy touches here and there. It's just a fantastic dark neutral that deviates from my usual black or gray.
And go on and admire the gorgeous Hoosier Bee Hive Glass Hardware. Serious. Love. It was again provided by D. Lawless Hardware. It is intricate, but clean lined and gives a perfect final touch to the sideboard.
Alright, so share you new favorite paint colors with me. What have you been gravitating towards lately?
