Adding Personality to the Yard with a Flag

*I was gifted this flag, however all content, thoughts and opinions are my own.
Everyone needs to show their team (or country, or animal or whatever it is that you love) spirit from time to time. Am I right?

And yes, I realize I live in Massachusetts. And I actually grew up as a Red Sox fan. I even have an autographed ball made out just to me from Carl Yastrzemski. You can't really get more Boston loving than that!

Anyway, times change and you marry someone who adores the Yankees and you sort of make that switch. Fast forward a decade an a half and I have a Yankees flag flying proudly on our back fence.

Style wise I love the graphic blue and white of the Yankees logo (just saying!).

Plus, so much of our home is decorated completely for me that it is nice to incorporate things for the men in my life. (FYI my boys recently got this Graffiti Wall as part of our study reno.)

Anyway, back to this awesome Yankees flag. It was recently gifted to me by Gettysburg Flag Works and the quality and customer service was phenomenal. No lie. I received my flag the very next day. And they have a huge selection. Not only sports or Americana related, but some that are even customizable. You have no idea how tempted I was to get the flag that can hold a picture of your pet. Seriously, how cute would it be to have Figgy's picture hanging in the garden!

But, for now, we have this Yankees flag proudly hanging in our yard. And I love it!

  1. I'm a Yankee fan also but the hubby and my son are Met fans. I love how you have it hanging on the fence opposed to a regular flag pole.
