Blogger Stylin' Home Tour: Christmas

Hey friends! Welcome to part two of my Christmas home tour! (Part one can be seen here.)

I'm always super excited to be a part of the Blogger Stylin' Home Tours! Did you all just stop over at Charming in Charlotte? Such a beautiful Christmas Tour!

This year I went for a modern rustic feel for my Christmas tree.

An awesome combo of gold and sparkles...

... with stained wood ornaments.

I used a piece of Sherpa fabric from the craft store as a tree skirt. It's become Figgy's favorite place to snooze.

The adjacent bookshelf has pieces of firewood (some painted gold for more of that modern rustic feel)...

...and this little, white winter scene. I adore bottle brushes and these small house were just perfect.

My coffee table is simple with some tiny white branches and this deer head from Target. My soon to be 11 year old is entirely bothered by the fact that the deer is only wearing one ornament on his antler and is missing one on the other side.

Welcome to my kitchen. It's in complete disarray after my contractor failed to meet their deadline and bailed. I'm finishing up the reno on my own and this is one corner that is complete...

P.S. This lemon cyprus was a complete growing failure. It's pretty much totally dead.

However, the boxwood is perfect and I was able to just clip it from my own yard...

...and I love these little white bowls filled with pine.

So, simple and perfect for the Christmas holiday.

My study has one of my most fave Christmas decorations of all time...this flocked tree. To me it is just says winter in every way.

I stuck it in an old sap bucket and love the contrast in textures.

Alongside of it I have this repurposed Christmas village I recently finished. It's done in chalkboard paint and rubbed with crushed chalk. (Before and after here.)

My upstairs hallway also got decked out this year. I kept it super simple with this DIY tree that I made.

I decorated it with some metallic vintage ornaments (which Figgy is intent on breaking).

And finished it with a mixed metal garland draped over the empty vintage frame.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!! I hope you all enjoyed my tour! Next please head over to Julie Blanner and for the complete list of participants just check below.

  11. Really enjoyed seeing your Christmas decor - very pretty! I can't believe your contractor bailed on you. I hope that somehow you can "go after him", though I know that gets complicated. Your kitty is so pretty and I love his name. :-)

  12. Beautiful decorations. I did the same thing with mine this year in going with silver, gold, neutrals and a mix of rustic and shiny. I love how festive, yet serene your decorations are. Simply lovely.
