Outside Autumn Decor

With my husband working our tag sale and my oldest resting inside with a head cold (my younger son wouldn't leave his side), I had the uninterrupted opportunity to add some fall touches to our outside spaces this past weekend.

Starting in my front yard:

This wooden primitive cat was a gift from my Mom last autumn.

I've had this wooden pumpkin scarecrow for years. It was handmade by the owners of a local country decor shop.  I reused my clay pots and thrifted bench and added in some mini pumpkins from the garden store.

My oldest son's favorite decoration is this metal owl.

Love the color of this mum! It's sitting on our same rusty chair I've had out all summer and I added in this white metal star.

My back porch:

I painted the shelf of this old door black and the bottom with black chalkboard paint.  You can find my directions for the autumn sign here.  The large iron piece at the bottom is from an old fireplace screen.

The middle pumpkin is a new variety called Pokemon. My boys loved that!

The horse pillow is a cast off from my Mom. It looks perfect and cozy on my porch.  Good thing I have a Mom that will share her decorating goods with me!

This pumpkin is from the Target dollar area ($2.50) and the crock is a new thrift store find.

A grapevine wreath and rusty star are layered on our porch window.

And my backyard:

Crows made by my neighbor, pumpkins and more of my pots.

I hope you enjoyed my outside fall tour! This really is my favorite season and the weather has just been wonderful!

Have a great day!

Angela

  3. Lovely outside decorations. Looks like you're all set for the season. Seems like either people are slow to decorate this fall in my neighborhood or I'm just early because I'm the only one with pumpkins out so far, and I'm not usually the first on the block.

  5. Love the use of the flower pots to give different heights. Clever. The gate over the fireplace is very pretty.
