Happy Mother's Day!
I have the sweetest and prettiest dresser makeover to share with you all today.
This was a vintage dresser that I found, but custom painted for a customer and I think her idea was just perfect for the piece!
She gave me the freedom to pick the colors, but requested a pale yellow with a white dry brushing and distressing. A very cottage feel; which happens to be my favorite to do.
I was immediately drawn to the color Bee Pollen by Behr. It's a really pretty yellow that isn't too light or too neon or lemony. The dry brushing was done with Martha Stewart's Picket Fence, which seems to be my go to white lately. Isn't the detailing and hardware on this dresser just gorgeous?
Here are some before shots of the dresser. I love the legs on it! Funny story was that I ended purchasing two dressers from the same woman. (Luckily my Mom went with me at pickup so that we could put one in each of our cars.) I had seen the dresser the previous week at her tag sale but she was charging an enormous amount of money...like way more than I could ever spend. But, she asked what I was willing to offer and took my name and number. I seriously thought that I would never here from her again, but a week later the dressers never sold so she called me to offer them at the price I had stated. Score!
The dresser was picked up yesterday and, despite horrible weather, we were able to get it in the new owner's SUV before any major rain began.
Have a great Sunday!
