Bold, Red, Vintage Coffee Table

Happy Sunday!

This is our last weekend before we start back at school so I am hoping for a fun family day!

I spent a good part of this past week working on this coffee table for a good friend of mine. Remember that red gossip bench I did a while back (here)?  Well, this is a companion piece for it and will be part of an awesome family room makeover that is currently in process.

Always one to panic about adhesion and smoothness when I am painting a large piece, I was sure to add in some Webster's to my paint before I began. (Still loving Websters Chalk Paint Powder, btw). And, isn't the finish so gorgeous and smooth!

I just love the legs and feet on this coffee table. Seriously so cute!

My other secret weapon for a wonderfully smooth and protected finish was to use some Minwax Wipe-On Poly. I just started using this product (on certain pieces) and love it!

Here's a before:

This table is an Ethan Allen and the construction is phenomenal. Both sides lift up for a huge amount of surface area! Isn't this perfect for family game nights and parties?

I hope you all have a fantastic start to your week!

  10. This is awesome! I wish I was bold enough to have a red table, lol! I've never heard of Webster's...where do you find it? Leaving here to click on the Webster's link so I guess I'll answer my own question, lol :) I'm a new follower on Pinterest. Would love to get a follow back!
