Dip Dyed End Table

I am just loving this latest addition to our living room!

If you stopped by last week, I was talking about my love for dip dyed furniture and even showed you all a little teaser of this table. (You can read that full post and see some amazing inspiration here.)

This project is so easy! But, I feel it gives our living room a little vintage/modern twist which I have been seriously craving.

All of you who paint and sell furniture will know what I'm talking about with this, but I have the most ridiculously large paint supply, with all these pots of paint (some full, some mostly empty) lining the shelves in my storage area so I decided to custom mix some colors for this project. I new I wanted a deep charcoal grey for the majority of the table and a pale aqua for the legs. (Here's a before of the table...nice lines, but boring!)

I simply started out by sanding and cleaning the table and painting the all but the end of the legs charcoal. When that was dry I taped off the legs to get a crisp line and painted them aqua. (I only had a tiny bit of touch up work to do when the tape came off.)  I lightly distressed just around the top of the table and protected it with wax.

I especially love how the pop of aqua from the legs ties in with all of the other turquoise accents in the room!

Have a great Sunday. We're off to see Monsters University and I don't know who is more excited...me or my boys!
