Hey everyone!
We've had a super busy week of doctor appointments and car appointments which will continue on today with the dentist for both of my boys. This is one of the big reasons I delayed the start of school for us by another week. The interruptions this week would not have made a good and consistent start to fourth and sixth grade for my guys. (Plus, it gives me another week to plan, which I so desperately need. Bonus!)
Anyway, I was getting a much needed breather a couple of weekends ago and stopped into an indoor flea market/antique center type place and found this cute bench with the best lines. The bright red vinyl seat was not doing it any favors for sure...here is the before...
I started off by painting the bench a bright aqua blue, which happens to be a custom color that I mixed with some leftover paints (and which I am now in love with so really hoping I can get this recreated at the paint store when I run out).
I love how the combo of the paint and the distressing really brought out the unique lines of the piece.
I used this fun, floral, black and white print fabric for the seat. Believe it or not, I found this fabric, along with some Waverly fabric at a tag sale!
So super pretty! It actually sold immediately and is pending pickup for this weekend. I have a feeling I will be using this paint color/fabric combo again in the future!
