Bold and bright colors have been the general rule this past month when it comes to custom orders.
Since I typically gravitate towards white and lighter colors in my own home this is been a particularly fun month of work for me.
Last week I shared that Vintage Red Dresser and while I had the paint out I also worked on this end table for another customer.
It's my favorite, true red, General Finishes Holiday Red. It's become my go to shade when customers ask for something like this.
I think the color completely transformed this table from something everyday to a bold statement piece that you take notice of.
I changed out the dated hardware for this vintage inspired square glass knob. It was in my stash, but I think it is originally from Hobby Lobby.
To further add to the fun and funky vibe I lined the drawer with some super bold fabric I had on hand. I think it just perfectly completed the piece.
It feels so good to be working with customers and painting again. With all the stress and upheaval in our lives since last summer, I felt like I kinda lost that desire to create. Honestly, I was wondering if it was going to come back and if I would find joy in this again. I'm so happy that I did!
