Happy 2015 friends!
Thank you all for sticking with Number Fifty-Three over the past year (even during my moments of slow posting)! There are going to be some significant changes over the next several months, including putting my house on the market and moving, and I am so excited to share this journey with you all.
Despite all these changes I plan to continue to blog about all my latest furniture updates and crafts.
One piece that I recently finished was this awesome vintage campaign nightstand. I've had it for months and am thrilled that it finally received its makeover.

There are certain pieces, even old and vintage ones, that benefit from a pristine smooth finish. This was definitely one of them and that's why I thought it would be a great time to try out some new products from Quali-Tech Manufacturing. (Also, I am super exited to let you all know that I will be partnering with this fab company for 2015!)
I decided to use the roller for doors and trims because it was the perfect size for my nightstand and provided the smoothest finish...it totally did not disappoint!
(You can see that when I am painting furniture that I use the most minimal amount of paint on my roller. The thin coats create a smooth and professional finish.

A couple more things about this gorgeous piece (which I wish I could keep, but I can't because I am pairing down my furniture in preparation of moving).
First, is the color. You all have seen it here before. It completely is my absolute favorite bold color to date (General Finishes Corinth Blue) and I have used it on tons of furniture in the past.
Second, is the amazing original brass hardware. I got so super lucky that is was all there and intact when I picked this nightstand up to bring home. It totally, totally makes the piece!
This piece makes me so super happy! Look at the transformation below!
