Vintage End Table & Where I've been Featured

Hey everyone!

 

I have a bunch of exciting things to share with you all today!

 

But first, here is a vintage William Fetner end table that I painted over the weekend.

 

 

In my own home I tend to gravitate more towards cream and (my all time favorite) antique white for furniture (although I have been adding in more stained and black pieces lately). It just seems to work better for me and gives me a neutral palette to decorate (and redecorate) with.

 

But, when I am doing custom orders or painting furniture to sell, I just love using color.  Although, for some reason, I seem to forget about Persian Blue from General Finishes, but honestly, it is one of the best colors out there. Every time I use it, I fall in love all over again. Here's the thing that makes it so hard to describe...it's light blue. And, I feel like, if you just say that, the connotation of a baby blue or a pastel blue comes to mind. I assure you this is neither! Persian Blue is a sophisticated, lighter blue with hints of gray and maybe even a tinge of green. It is just gorgeous!

 

Look at the difference it made on this seriously dated end table...

 

 

 

Since the table has a decidedly country feel, I gave it a good amount of distressing and sealed it with wax.

 

 

 

 

 And, are you loving the hardware as much as I am? You really cannot go wrong with milk glass. Ever.  These Milk White Cut Glass Knobs were provided by one of my very favorite companies, D. Lawless Hardware.

 

 

 

Lastly, I lined the drawer with burlap to give it a fresh, new feel.

Now, on to some pretty amazing features. Seriously. How am I this fortunate!

 

I've mentioned time and time again that I adore General Finishes paint. I'm not exaggerating. I honestly, honestly do. And they have shared my work in some pretty amazing ways.
