Decorating with Vintage Paintings & Feature @ P & P

So, I sort of broke my own shopping rule over the weekend. This year I am trying to be more conscious about my spending; only buying items that I really, really love for specific projects that I am currently working on. (You know, none of that frivolous spending just because something is on sale or it might work some day.)

I've also been trying to shop my own home before spending money on décor.

And, then I found this painting at an indoor flea market. It wasn't anything I needed and it wasn't for a specific project, but can you say love? You totally know how you can't dwell on items in places like that because they move so fast. I did, however, think about it long and hard (while clutching it) before I bought it.

DIY Leather Fish Scale Art

Just so you all know, I am super obsessed with leather lately. This is already the second project I have done in the last week with leather scraps from the craft store. (The first project will be revealed soon as my contributor post on Jen Rizzo's Blog).

Buying & Decorating with Thrift Store Art

Morning everyone! I just wanted to hop on real quick to share some of my recent thrift store/antique store finds with you all.

I've had a couple of crazy weeks. Last Wednesday was my birthday and yesterday, my 15th wedding anniversary. Our new couch was delivered this week, which, of course, caused a major rearrangement/redecorating of furniture and accessories in the living and dining rooms.  I'm also working on a huge custom dining set for a client. And, I got my hair majorly cut.

Did I mention that my husband really doesn't like change? There was definitely more than one time, this past week, where I sent him an email at work to try to prepare him for what was going on here before he got home!

Anyway, I have so much that I want to share, and I promise that updated living, entry and dining room tours our on the horizon.

For now, though, here is a little gallery wall that's in process in our living room...

{Frugal Fall} Entry & Tutorial

I really am a fan of autumn.  I've tucked in twigs, pumpkins and dried corn all around our home and our entryway is no exception.

Autumn Art & Decor

With cooler weather beginning to be a reality here in Massachusetts, I have been more and more motivated to decorate my home for autumn. I love lots of natural elements like pumpkins, corn and twigs.

I recently updated my hearth with these favorites of mine.
