Entry Tour: Styling with Antique Books

If you recall there is no real separation between our entry and our living room. Kind of unusual for an older home, plus our neighbor's house was built by the same person at the same time and they do, in fact, have a separate, walled off entry space.

Valentine Entry & Tutorial

I decided to add a little Valentine love to my entryway this week to brighten my spirits.

The last few days have been pretty darn mediocre. 1) because Figgy has been sick and had to be brought to the vet and  2) dealing with frustrating issues with getting the services that my boys need.  The latter is not something that is comfortable or fun to talk about, but the reality is that my boys have special needs.  When your children have autism there are a lot of other issues, like anxiety and OCD, that sometimes go along with it. Things that require medication to function. All their doctors and therapists agree, but there are just not enough clinicians out there to prescribe. I cannot even begin to describe my frustration over this!

Anyway, on to happier things, like delicate, book page angel wings.

Our Holiday Entry

Like my mantel, I kept my entry simple and woodsy for the Christmas holiday; adding in elements like rosemary, twigs and pine.

[My Project Notebook]

(I always have a ton of decorating and DIY ideas floating around in my head. Many of them end up in my project notebook that I keep in my nightstand. I thought it would be fun if I shared some of my ideas with you all each week.)

So, if you saw my post about adding in my new settee, than you know that I've had entryway design on my mind lately.  Here are some ideas I kept in mind when updating my own area.

1.  A comfy place to sit.

Our Revamped Entry...

Do you ever go to change one thing in your house and it snowballs into this major, never-ending ordeal?

I so did that this weekend.

{Frugal Fall} Entry & Tutorial

I really am a fan of autumn.  I've tucked in twigs, pumpkins and dried corn all around our home and our entryway is no exception.
