Late Summer Arrangement & Vintage Maya Table Cloth

*I was compensated for this post with supplies, however all content, thoughts and opinions are my own.

Can you all believe that summer is practically over? It seriously flew by for us. We took some great trips to the beach (our favorite place ever) and I made some major decisions that will completely change our lives in the months to come. Also, we'll be starting back homeschooling later on this week, which is always exciting and challenging.

Today I thought I would share with you all a wonderful no cost floral arrangement I created from past-their-prime blooms from my yard and also share the most gorgeous table cloth that was gifted to me by Vintage Maya.

(And, yes, I know. Cat on the table. On the table cloth. I only let him get away with it because he is so cute and likes to be in pictures...)

Alright, let's start with that centerpiece. I have seriously, seriously neglected our gardens this year. I'm talking no mulching, weeding, trimming neglected. It is not pretty. But, it did serve me in creating the perfect, not overly floral arrangement for my table.

I have a ton of different flowers in our main garden and, since they had not been trimmed back, everything had sort of started to dry and look really sculptural, which I love.

I gathered a huge mass of two different left over flowers from my garden. The ones that are yellow/green are late summer daisies that have lost their petals. They are one of my favorite flowers because they are huge (seriously taller than me) and create such a focal point on the garden.

The dark brown pods were from irises that are probably a couple of months past bloom, at this point.

I am loving this combo since they are not in bloom and summery, and not completely dried flowers, which signify autumn to me.

Now on to this gorgeous, gorgeous table cloth from Vintage Maya. The craftsmanship is amazing.

It is a beautiful off white/cream cotton with the most wonderfully embroidered dragonflies in gold and metallic gold.

According to the Vintage Maya's website, dragonflies symbolize magic and change. What a beautiful thing to have in your home!

Vintage Maya could potentially be the most perfect place for me to shop ever. They love vintage and vintage inspired mixed with more modern elements. That could honestly describe my entire home and my entire deign philosophy. Additionally, I just love companies that offer a wide variety of unique items.

I am loving this table cloth in my dining room and the creams and golds go perfectly with my décor. You know what though? This table cloth is completely going to be used for decoration. It is too gorgeous to risk getting ruined and lets just say, I have a curly haired 10 year old boy who uses absolutely everything but a napkin, as a napkin (even that curly hair)!

  8. Gah so beautiful!! There's an antique store around here that always has gorgeous vintage tablecloths, but they are never the right size for my table. Sad days.

  9. I love your tablecloth and imo the cat only enhances the photograph. Your dining room is very inviting.
